We feel and understand that in the east we shy away from important topics. Mental health rarely gets discussed openly and on rare occasions, even if we discuss it, it’s always in a negative light and is not taken seriously. Research shows that mental illness/depression is openly discussed in western culture as compared to the east. Rather an interesting pattern is that depression is far more prevalent in the western world. This shows that depression is a modern health epidemic that is also culture-specific.
I am neither an expert on mental illness, nor a counsellor nor a specialist, but we have worked out a ritual to break an unhealthy habit for sound mental health. Ask yourself what your purpose in life is (5 times) and then complete the ritual form given below.
I spent too much time worrying about -------------
I did not spend enough time doing things like ------------
If I could go back in time I can change -----------
I am willing to struggle for ------------------
If I know that I am going to die in a year from now, what would I do and how would I want to be remembered---------------
I have always believed that blessed is an adviser who gives advice, but a person who takes the advice is 1000 times wiser than the advisor.
“ To not just have a long-term relationship, but a life-long relationship with our clients”.
